So SimpleBlog has been a huge success after only 1 week. And this made me think about a portfolio theme based on this design. As the blog theme, something simple not to fancy maybe a slider and some widget areas. You know something that gets the job done.

Do you think this is a good idea?

UPDATE

Since i started the poll i actually started designing the portfolio of SimpleBlog, and i have to say its starting to look good. The thing about the new design is that it uses A LOT of javascript. The design process of this theme has concluded and last night i started actually coding it. Currently I'm still finishing the (x)HTML version of it but it already looks good. Here's a small list of the features so far

  1. Using Javascript for round corners rather then images
  2. Front page slider and widget area to give a professional look
  3. Multi level navigation. (SimpleBlog lacks this feature because of lazyness)
  4. Cufon for font replacement
  5. Full Width page template

As you can see its mostly javascript on the SimpleBlog theme. I have thought of some other things to add with WordPress, but i need to finish the HTML before even mentioning those. Might even post some screen-shots soon.
