This theme is the simplest theme i have ever made, doesn't contain many features nor does it have preloaded plugins other then WP-PageNai. It has a small option page where you can edit the logo and favicon url's, from this page you can also add your feedburner url and twitter account that will be displayed on the custom sidebar widget called: RSS Feed Suscribe. It has all the basic html elements styled for posts and the sidebar is widget ready.
This theme does not have any advertisement options because i don't think that a Blog theme should have advertisement. But in the single post page there are links to some social networks, just some basic old school ones. As always any questions or bugs please post them in comments. But for some reason it’s just not working for me. I’m getting the following error when I try to use it:
Parse error: parse error in C:*****\wp-content\themes\SimpleBlog\index.php on line 28
And on the admin page I get this:
Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘sbthemes_admin_head’ not found or invalid function name in C:******\wp-includes\plugin.php on line 339
I got WP-PageNavi and installed it to see if that was the problem, but nothing changed…
Wordpress works fine, every other theme works fine… I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. I tried it on a fresh install, too, just to make sure. Am I screwing up somewhere or does this theme just plain hate my guts? :(

Hi Nina, did you download the theme from here? because i’ve found some other sites offering the theme for download and have edited some parts to include either there sites links or to add malicious code to it.
Please download a new copy and try to install it again. If you get the same errors again then use the contact form so i can help you solve the problem.

Just wanted to let you – and everybody else – know that the problem has been solved. The culprit was EasyPHP — I managed to install another app (uwamp) and now the theme runs perfectly. This was not a problem with the theme at all.
Would you mind if I tweaked it a little? Not the layout itself but the fonts, colors and a couple of graphics other than the logo and favicon. For my own use, I mean.

Aurel Dragut, the font for the logo is Delicious, sorry i cant give a psd for the logo.png but never really did design it on photoshop kinda winged the whole thing hehehe

On my new blog custom logo option don’t take affect. cause in function.php you try assign to $custom_logo the “cj_logo” parametr, but theme store custom logo url in “sb_logo”

@mac try opening index.php and on line 14 and remove the paragraph tags inside the the_content function. that should fix some of them if not all.

Paulius Hi, to add a new link under the twitter link, you need to go to the functions.php and go to line 37 and just add a new list item with the link to flicker, then you need to add the CSS for the icon to apear with the link.

However, some problems need your help.
When I enable the theme, there is no item in the column side of the contents of the background set the Feedburner URL, and Twitter account, there is no indication that other subject is indeed a normal display.
Please help me how to modify the. Thanks

chancat, hi I’ve been trying to understand what you have posted. And will help you with the things I understand.
About the sidebar, it is widget ready so you need to go to the widget page and add them manually, i have done it this way because i never know what to put on the sidebar.
For the Feedburner and Twitter links, you need to go to the theme options page that is at the bottom of the navigation list in the admin panel.
As for the rest of your message I’m very sorry to say that i cant understand this. Please try to re-elaborate your thought and post it again.

Hi Omar — beautiful, elegant and minimalist. Love it. I’ve just installed it, but although I’m a hardware and OS expert, I’m still a web/HTML newbie, so will be trying to figure out how to customize a bit, starting with making the logo image bigger without overlapping the posting area…I bet it’s easy, but not so for us beginners :-(

Just getting started with wordpress and really like the look of this theme. I installed the theme but am having a problem with the Home page link.
Every time I click the ‘Home’ link on the main menu, I get a 404 error:
“Rats… Whatever You Were Looking For Isn’t Here!”
I’m sure it is something very simple but I’m still very new. Suggestions?

Hello,
I finaly found out the way to exclude some pages from menu bar : in header.php, you’ve got to replace
<?php wp_list_pages('title_li=&link_before=&link_after=’);
by
<?php wp_list_pages('exclude=XX,XX,XX&title_li=&link_before=&link_after=’);
where XX are the pages ID
